We are in the historic center: the fifth rione of Rome, located on a bend of the Tiber River, takes its name from the iconic Ponte Sant’Angelo, built by Emperor Hadrian in 134 AD. The bridge was part of Rione Ponte until the 16th century when Pope Sixtus V created Rione Borgo, incorporating the area.
